22.05.2015 - Environmental competition Hypericum in Dropie

Environmental competition Hypericum has become an inseparable part of the activities of The centre of environmental education SAŽP Dropie. The topic of the current year, which took place on 22nd May 2015 in CEE SAŽP Dropie was the biodiversity of agricultural ecosystems.

The area of SPA Ostrovné lúky is strongly influenced by intensive farming. By various information activities we try to influence the general public in the region. The ongoing LIFE project for the protection of birds in SPA Ostrovné lúky is a good tool for more sensitive farming in the region. Pupils in competitive teams tried what it's like to work in a group and work together to find a proper solution of various issues. Not think only of yourself, enjoy the shared successes and learn something about the region where we live.

This time the quetions were divided into 3 categories - field plants and animals, agriculture, bees. All this was covered by the topic "Why organic farming?" as an option for sustainable management in the country. Pupils did not get points only for answering the questions but also had to recognize the sounds of individual animals or recognize the seeds of our common economic plants. The competition was very close and the difference between places was decided only by half-points.

In the first place was the team from the primary school Dulovce in the composition of Jozef Bilko, Jozef Chudják and Alex Juhász who were prepared by the teacher Ing. Beata Szabóová. In second place was the team from the primary school Imeľ in the composition of Bibiána Sláviková, Bianka Zacharová and Kristína Miškovičová led by the teacher Mgr. Darina Miškovičová. In third place - after a shootout with the team from the primary school Pohraničná Komárno - was placed the team from primary school Nesvady led by the teacher Mgr. Denisa Sovičová in the composition of Daniel Virág, Kristián Lukacsovics and Vivien Hegedűsová. Overall, the competition attended 42 pupils and teachers.
